An update on the CS Olympics

Hello CSGSO members,

Here's an update on the CS Olympics tomorrow 4/23 in the CS library (OS219A).

We have 17 students registered so far: 16 students in Computer Science, and 1 in Economics.

I've printed out the CSGSO banner. Snacks, drinks, plates, cups, and napkins are all set. Extra batteries are all set too. Name tags will be provided by W.B. Mason tomorrow.

We've placed an order of 10 pizzas from Romano's Pizza of Dracut. They will be delivered tomorrow at 2:30pm.

We'll set up at noon tomorrow in the CS library. We need to rearrange the chairs, hang the banner, and hook up Wii to the projector.

The event will be from 2:30pm to around 5:30pm:

We'll accept on-site registration from 2 to 3pm. We'll ask each attendee to sign the name twice: one on the GSA form for reimbursement, and the other on a card for the raffle. The attendees might be different from the registration form, as more people might show up. The attendees will have the chance to practice from 2 to 3pm. Meanwhile Food and drink will be provided.

The seeding round will be held from 3 to 4pm. The single elimination tournament will be held from 4pm to 5:30pm.

Prior to the tournament, we need 2-3 staff to set up between noon and 2:30pm. At the tournament, we'll need 2-3 staff in charge of the attendance sheet, registration, and raffle, and 1-2 staff organizing the tournament.

If you'd like to help us out (instead of playing the tournament), please confirm by replying this email with your available time slot.

Thanks a lot!

Beibei (Betty) Yang
CSGSO President
